Meet Jennifer Hall, a forward-thinking, detail-oriented REALTOR® who has a few great ideas up her sleeve for helping homebuyers stay ahead of the pack in a hot housing market.

Born and raised in Baltimore County, Jen began her career as a hair stylist. She very much enjoyed developing and nurturing close, personal relationships with her clients. But when she and her husband started a family, she decided to hang up her sheers and focus on raising their three children.

Then, as the children grew older, Jen found herself wanting to get back into the professional working world. Eventually, she landed a job with a real estate firm working as their transaction coordinator. In this role, Jen oversaw all the small, but critical details that go into selling or buying a home, including helping to:

• Coordinate, process and post new home listings
• Research and draft offers
• Plan, schedule, coordinate and resolve issues with home inspections
• Complete all documents required by the mortgage lender and title company

Jen says the experience proved invaluable for when she became a REALTOR® herself…

“Since I trained first as a transaction coordinator, by the time I got my real estate license, I already knew so much about the process. And it really allowed me to hit the ground running.”

Today, as an agent with The Bob & Ronna Group, Jen says she loves getting out from behind the desk and working face-to-face with people and families in the community again. She especially enjoys guiding first-time home buyers through the process.

When the market is a seller’s market—with higher sale prices, low inventory, and rising interest rates—Jen says timing is everything…

“I really try to get my clients in to see a home within the first hour, literally, that it hits the market. And since I’m a full-time agent, we can do that.”

Typically, Jen will have already scoped out the new home, sent her clients a preview of the listing (even before it goes “Active” on the market), and called the listing agent to get the details. “That way,” Jen says, “even before we step foot in the front door, my clients already have a good sense of the house and the neighborhood. Then, if they like what they see in person, they’re usually ready to roll.”

Jen also makes sure all her clients, especially her first-time clients, have gotten pre-approved for a loan with a recommended local lender. She says picking a local, vetted, trusted lender often makes the difference between whether or not you have the winning contract.

When not showing homes, Jen enjoys spending time relaxing and playing around in the back yard with her husband and three kids. When the weather’s nice, they’ll cook steak, chicken or seafood on the grill. Or, if they don’t feel like cooking, they’ll head to Looney’s in Bel Air for some mussels and maybe a beer for her husband. And when the weather’s not so nice, they’ll hunker down to watch Marvel® movies and comedies at home with their two dogs and four cats.
